BVI Culinary Team
.

The BVICCHA is proud to be the driving force behind the Award Winning BVI Culinary Team that has represented the island since the mid 1990's at the Taste of The Caribbean hosted by the Caribbean Hotel Association. The BVI Team has always been successful winning medals at each event.   In 1996 they won the Silver Medal and in 1997, they were Gold Medal Winners.

Chef Neil Cline was the first BVI chef to mean when he won his Bronze for his entrée. The training is year round. The competition is in the form of a mystery basket and that is reflected in the local culinary events as well. The seven person team also has a bartender and a pastry chef. In order to raise funds to send the team to the Taste of the Caribbean Competition, the chefs, along with the help of the BVICCHA, host training and competition dinners.

These have been very successful in getting the community involved. The first dinner for the 2007 team will be held on November 25th at Long Bay Hotel. For further information about this dinner and others, please contact the BVICCHA office or the Long Bay Resort.
