A Grand Gala Affair it was, with the design style inspired by East Indian Bollywood of India. Guests were led to the pool area for cocktails by hostesses dressed in Indian garments, the evening then began with welcome specialty cocktails by the BVI National Culinary Team medalist, Everson Rawlins. His creation of Mumbai Smile & Ocean Potion unique blends were well received by all. Also at the cocktail was a special treat of Savida Sangria by Ira Claxton of Calypso Epcurean. From Indian dancers, henna artist, photo booth and the sweet sounds of DJ rounded up the cocktail to begin the night's festivities.
Entering the well adorned Bollywood inspired dining area, the ceremonial part of the evening began with a full house welcoming, Ms. Kassandra Malone giving a moving rendition of the national anthem, followed by the national song. All was impressed with the Indian contemporary cuisine by renowned chefs at The Moorings Mariner Inn Rest. The dinner being described as a "well blended fusion of India".
